    Been with Dr Thaen for about 3 months and it’s been a great blessing to have found her during this time in my life. Typically I hear a lot a stories about how therapists do not listen and don’t give you tools to work with during crisis. That wasn’t the case with Dr Thaen. I could talk for 30 mins and she heard every word I said. Gives me her input and tools to use to combat my crisis and it works. I’ve shared some of her tools with friends and it even worked for them.     I was fortunate to meet Dr. T during a very challenging time in my life. Our sessions were dynamic and thoughtfully tailored to meet me where I was at each stage of my journey.   • I have been under Dr. Saelee's care for a little over a year and she is absolutely wonderful to work with. She is very insightful, kind, and patient. She helps guide our sessions so that I can explore new areas and sources of my anxiety and depression on my own.   • I just wrapped up therapy with Jason Wilcox, and I’m not ending because of insurance or scheduling. I’m ending because, for the first time in a long time, I’m genuinely in a good place. I still remember my first call when choosing between Jason and Saelee. If I’m remembering right, he said something like, “She’s joyful and upbeat. I’m a bit more serious.” And my chaotic self thought, “Perfect. I need someone who’ll tell me the hard truths.” But the funny part is… he never actually gave me the hard truths I thought I needed. Instead, he helped me understand why I believed I needed someone else to tell me what was “right.” Somewhere along the way, I stopped trusting my own inner voice…my own Jiminy Cricket and thought everyone else knew better than I did. He did something way better: he helped me hear myself again. He helped me challenge the old narrative that I didn’t matter. He helped me see the patterns without making me feel broken. He guided me toward truths I already had but didn’t trust. It was never harsh. It was clarity. And for the first time in years, I feel confident in who I am. I actually love and trust myself again. If you want a therapist who is real, grounded, thoughtful, and direct in a way that helps things click, Jason is an excellent choice. Fair warning though… I’m now dangerously self-aware, and that’s absolutely his fault.

    I could not possibly over stress what a life changing experience it was doing weekly therapy sessions with Dr Thaen over the last 9 months. I recently moved states and was heart broken to have to end my therapy sessions with Dr Thaen, but I feel so, so incredibly lucky to have had such a safe space to process through some of the most painful experiences of my life. She was unendingly patient, kind, empathetic and consistently offered her perspective with the framing of 'let me know if this connects with you', which made me feel so comfortable expressing if at times her read wasn't exactly on the mark. I felt so incredibly comfortable sharing experiences that I hadn't even voiced aloud to a single other human. I'm in such a better place in my life, and I can't help but express an incredible amount of gratitude for Dr. Thaen and her intuitive and inquisitive care. She met me with kindness at every turn and helped to unlock some of the unconscious patterns that had been a mystery to myself. I could not possibly recommend her more throughly!!
